Repair of an old and collapsed dry stone field wall.
A curved four metre section of very old agricultural field wall had come down near Nailsworth, Stroud.
These old dry stone walls are an amazing part of Britain’s heritage. However, they were often built quickly with no foundations and not much hearting stone/middling (the interlocking stones in the middle of the wall).
Reusing all the old stone we laid new foundations and added more hearting, giving the traditional dry stone wall the structural support it never had.
