A concrete retaining wall in Oakridge Lynch, Stroud needed to be faced with stone to give a dry stone wall effect.
Firstly, we attached wall ties to the concrete facing. Mortar was then applied between the stone and wall. The combination of wall ties and mortar gives the stone facing its strength.
To ensure each course was neatly laid and level, each stone needed to be carefully dressed.
Floating reinforced concrete steps were integrated as part of the wall’s design.
If you have a dry stone walling project you would like to discuss then we would love to hear from you.
