The client wanted this dry stone wall in Sherston, Tetbury, shortening. The reconstructed wall would be finished with a quoined cheek end/wall head giving a buttress style finish.
Once we had taken the wall back to the desired length we began to build the wall head using lime mortar to match the rest of the client’s walls.
Luckily there was enough recycled quoin to build this section from the wall we had just taken down.
We then pointed the mortared joints and finished the dry stone wall with a coping to match.
