Leah Achieves Level 2 DSWA Certification

Dry Stone Walling Association Professional Accreditation

At the start of July, Leah spent a week at the Dry Stone Walling Association’s (DSWA) Lancashire Training Site, where she passed her Level 2 exam to become a professionally qualified dry stone waller.

Four days of rigorous training under the guidance of a master craftsman culminated in a stringent 7.5 hour exam. She will now join the DSWA Professional Register where she will be one of the few female dry stone wallers.

The DSWA is the UK’s official governing body of dry stone walling and its Craft Certification Scheme is a globally recognised standard. The scheme is certified by Lantra – the leading awarding body in the UK for land-based industries. To find out more about the DSWA and to see the professional register, click here.
